Message from our Founder Lill Egan

As the NDIS continues to change, I understand that many participants, families and carers are asking important questions about safety, trust, provider registration and the quality of support they receive. Choosing the right provider can feel overwhelming, especially when families want to know that their loved one is being supported with dignity, respect and genuine care.

At Dantae Support Services, our focus remains simple: people deserve support that feels safe, respectful, organised and centred around their goals, choices and everyday life.

In our recent blog, Why Choosing a Registered NDIS Provider Matters More Than Ever, we explain why provider registration, accountability and clear support systems are becoming more important for participants and families.

Being a registered provider is more than a title to us. It reflects our commitment to quality standards, participant safety, dignity, privacy, worker screening, incident management and supports that families can feel confident in.

Every participant has different goals for home, independence and daily living. Whether our team is supporting flexible living arrangements through Individualised Living Options (ILO), helping participants access suitable housing through Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), or building confidence and routine through Supported Independent Living (SIL), our goal is to provide care that feels organised, respectful and centred around the person.

Thank you to every participant, family member, carer and staff member who continues to be part of the Dantae Support Services community. We are proud to walk alongside you, celebrate your progress, and support each person to live with more comfort, confidence, independence, choice and control. ✨

  • Support that respects dignity, privacy, choice and personal preferences

Personal Care Tip: Building Confidence Through Daily Routines 🌿

Happy participant smiling during a positive care moment.

Personal Care is about much more than completing daily tasks. It can include support with showering, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, continence care, toileting, mobility around the home, meal-time assistance and feeding support where required.

A consistent routine can help participants feel more settled, prepared and in control of their day. Support workers can assist by explaining each step, offering choices where possible, respecting privacy, and encouraging the participant to do the parts they feel comfortable completing themselves. Small achievements, such as choosing an outfit, brushing hair, washing hands independently or helping with part of a grooming routine, can build confidence over time.

In-Home Support Highlights 🏡✨

Dantae Support Services offers practical In-Home Support to help participants maintain a safe, comfortable and organised home environment.

  • Assistance with meal preparation and feeding support

  • Help with light household tasks, cleaning and laundry

  • Support with daily routines, appointments and home organisation

  • Encouragement to build independence and confidence at home

Tips and Resources

In-Home Support Tip: Creating a Safe and Supportive Home Environment 🏠

Staff Greeting participant outside a home doorway, highlighting independence and supported living.

In-Home Support helps participants manage everyday living tasks in a way that supports comfort, safety and independence. This may include preparing meals, assisting with eating and drinking, light cleaning, laundry, changing bed linen, organising personal items, maintaining routines, and supporting safe movement around the home.

A helpful approach is to break tasks into simple steps and involve the participant where appropriate. For example, a participant may help choose a meal, fold towels, organise their room, water plants or assist with setting the table. These everyday activities can support skill-building, routine, confidence and a stronger sense of ownership within the home.

Celebrating Our Operations Manager 💕👶

This month, we are sending warm congratulations to our Operations Manager, Sarah, who is currently still on maternity leave and enjoying all the important moments with the newest addition to her family — her beautiful baby girl, Selena.

While she may be away from the office for now, she is certainly not forgotten. Her care, leadership and steady support have made a lasting impact across the Dantae Support Services team, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she continues to mean to our workplace.

We are also excited to share a couple of beautiful family moments from this special chapter.

Selena enjoys her first trip to the beach, safely snuggled close to Mum in a front carrier — a peaceful and memorable moment by the water. 🌊

Finally their first family portrait, taken outdoors at the park. It is a lovely snapshot of family connection, new beginnings and the joy that comes with watching Selena grow. 🌿📸

We wish Sarah, baby Selena and their family a very special time together as they continue making precious memories. When she is ready, we will be very excited to welcome her back to the office. 🌸✨

A Fresh Start by the Sea: Joanne’s* New Home Story 🌊🏡

Joanne’s* move into her new home has been a wonderful success story. Since moving in, Joanne* has been noticeably happy, settled, and excited about her new space.

A very special moment was seeing Joanne* make her own bed for the first time since we have been supporting her. This was a meaningful achievement and showed her growing confidence, independence, and pride in her new home.

Joanne* has expressed how much she is loving the house and is already thinking about how she would like to make it her own. She is excited to decorate her new home in a beach theme, which shows she is feeling positive, comfortable, and motivated to create a space that reflects her personality.

This move has been a big step forward for Joanne*, and it is wonderful to see her so happy, engaged, and proud of her new home.
